RossPlate Tubular Rail

RossPlate switches use traditional round head tubular rail and are the same height as Lionel O gauge switches and track. They are remarkably smooth and derailment free! We make them in an 072, same footprint as the old lionel and K-Line switches, and also make them in a #4. These are especially usefull in a yard or for crossing from one mainline to another. As a crossover (4" center rail to center rail spacing) they are better than an 072 because you dont get the nasty S curve in between the tracks. That is because all three legs of the switch come out straight. This also helps smooth things out in the yard where if you stack them in a ladder configuration they automatically come out on 3.5" centers which saves much space over using 072's (5.75" centers).
